A Study to Assess the Conservation Effectiveness of Nature Reserves in Hainan, China, from 2000 to 2021

Nature reserves are special habitats established for representative plant and animal ecosystems, it is important to strengthen the monitoring protection of nature ecological environmental protection. In this paper, 23 typical different levels types on Hainan Island were selected as study area. The InVEST model LandTrendr algorithm applied in habitat quality assessment anthropogenic disturbances area from 2000 2021, respectively. Finally, an mode was established, coupling disturbances, analyze spatial temporal conservation effectiveness reserves. results indicate that had good overall effectiveness; 21 excellent rating, 2 a rating between 2021. Three reserves, namely, Dazhoudao, Dongzhaigang Bangxi, have become significantly more effective.
